We’ve seen a sudden rise in companies going full-time remote, which means companies working policies have also changed in line with this new way of living, and internal policies are focusing on a more flexible approach to the ways of working, more than ever before.
However, remote work goes beyond just working remotely. It’s not only a change to your physical location whilst working; it’s a change to your lifestyle too.
No more hours spent commuting, but an adjustment to your home, to find a workspace that works well for productivity — or those with the inner adventure, then a change could be to work while traveling. Remote work opens you up to an entirely new realm. It allows you to focus your time and energy on carving out your own freedom within your life, rather than boxing you in and taking away your freedom, the world is now your oyster.
With this freedom, you’re able to experience new benefits such as work-life balance, more time, reduced stress, increased productivity, and the choice to focus on the things you want in life. You’re able to spend time on things that are important to you, plus be able to focus on your life priorities, such as your health, your relationships, and self-improvement (if that’s what you’re into!).
Even though working remotely has many benefits, it also requires self-discipline, something you can learn over time. And just because you can work from anywhere doesn’t automatically mean that it’s easier to disconnect, so you will need to find a balance.
There is no right or wrong way to adapt to a new lifestyle — find what works best for you and go with it!
