Powerful Ted Talks On Grief

Grief is an emotion that can be incredibly challenging to navigate. Losing a loved one is an experience that we all face at some point in our lives, and it can often feel like you’re alone in your pain. But there is hope.

We made a list of TED Talks on grief to help you better understand your feelings. It can also provide comfort after your loss.

1. “The Magic of Not Giving a F*” by Sarah Knight

In this TED Talk, the New York Times bestselling author Sarah Knight shares her personal experience of dealing with grief. She discusses the importance of mental health and how to embrace the idea of self-care, unapologetically and straightforwardly.

Knight shares how working through your emotional pain can make you stronger and more resilient.

2. “We Don’t “Move On” From Grief. We Move Forward With It” by Nora McInerny

Nora McInerny, author of the book, “The Hot Young Widows Club,” takes an incredibly insightful and unique approach to dealing with grief. McInerny realized that no matter how much she tried, she could never move on from the death of her husband.

So, she redefined what ‘moving on’ meant. Nora understands that grief is a lifelong journey. It’s something you learn to cope with rather than having expectations that it will go away completely.

3. “Love Letters To Strangers” by Hannah Brencher

Grief Counselor and TED Speaker, Hannah Brencher shares her Scottie-Celtic wisdom for taming heartbreak. Hannah’s TED Talk touches the heart and doesn’t let go.

Love Letters to Strangers started as an unplanned idea born out of depression. She wants people to know that someone’s thinking of them when they are sad.

4. “Confessions of a Grieving Therapist” by Jason B. Rosenthal

They offer comfort, support, and insight from people who have walked a similar path. It’s okay to ask for help, to take the time to grieve, heal, and get back on your feet.
